My first solo trip

Hey, Im Jack.

I have been luucky enought o travel to over 50 countires and counting. The decision i made in 2016 to quit my job and travel the world was hoestly the best decision i ever made. I have thought about sharing my experiences many times and after much thought i have decided to. I hope to make this site a great collection of articles, tips, news, cool stuff and a place for people to gain confience in travelling along or with friends.

My first big trip was in 2012 to China. I was always facinated with the art work and culture so that was my first call for my first big solo trip. From an early age i always loved going on holiday with parents and friends but always felt the need for more, i wanted to explore, not just sit around a pool and relax. I never quite understood the kind of trip so many are familiar with, jetting off to a warm place to sit around and eat food in a hotel or apartment. To me that was boring. S

So in 2012 i headed out for my first big trip to China, this lit a fire in me and a few yearss later i quit my job for good and went. I rented out my house, got rid of 99% of everything i onwed, which by the way was so fulfiling i cannot explain. I booked a flight to Singapore and that was it, i had no other plan and to this day i will always encourage others to do the same. It enables you to go with the flow, meet people and go with them, you hear of a cool place you never even thought of, you go. Its absolutley the best way to do it and i would not change a thing about how i did it. That trip would last a year before i headed home for a short time to see parents and friends. Here is the part no one talks about, you are a different person and your life will never feel the same again. its addictive and exillirating. My time didnt last long and around 6 months later i left again for South America. Again a flight to mexico and no other plan. In this time i spent another 8 months away, learning spanish, living in little villages and really loving thr way South America works. The culture, the food the poeple are and were amazing. To this day i miss it everyday.

I could babble on and on about my trip because the passion i have is crazy but got now, i hope my time away can help others and my articles benefit anyone thinking of heading out into this beautiful world.
